Strategic Design Network, Inc. is looking for an experienced, motivated and effective games artist with UI expertise. Applicant must also have traditional 2D illustration and computer design skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Create compelling game layouts
• Create and maintain UI elements throughout the entire development process
• Design detailed wire-frames for other team members to follow
• Create style guides for all teams to follow
• Be well informed on the latest techniques of social gaming
• Create multiple game elements that follow a consistent art style
• Deliver artwork at only a professional level of quality
• Work with programmers to implement new designs
• Improve the user experience of current projects
• Work quickly to meet the deadlines of multiple tasks simultaneously
• Create innovative, high quality graphics for game titles, icons, and web sites

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

• BFA, or similar art degree

EXPERIENCE

• One year of professional work. (preferred, not necessary)
• Multiple examples of professional layout design
• At least one original web site live on the web
• Taken at least one project/game through the pipeline, start to finish

QUALIFICATIONS

• Expertise in Photoshop
• Expertise in layout concepts
• Understanding of working with Grid Design
• Understanding of color theory
• Polished art and illustration skills
• Understanding of the game development process
• Familiarity with social media games
• Strong Problem solving skills
• Strong collaboration skills
• Highly self-motivated
